On this episode of the Occult Sentinel Podcast, I speak with Paul Joseph Rovelli. We speak about Magick, Alchemy, Thelema, the Gnostic Church of Light.

Trouble in magickal orders, the problems of working out of people’s homes, and physical temple space being much greater.

It was very interesting to hear how there was a grassroots beginning in magazines. In spite of the internet, printed media is still important. It takes real work to get published!
I like the idea of giving to the community without all the “tit for tat” (you scratch my back, i scratch yours) un-relational model. Or of donating to some far-away country that has no relation or interest to you at all.
The separate space for temple workings (individual or group) is indeed a singular dedication. The fact that having a separate room for your temple makes it so that you have to actually walk there & put the effort to decorate it. And so often we seek in others (or perhaps in materialism) what is within; it’s too easy to just ignore and avoid the essential truth of being.
All in all, a great podcast. Keep it up, guys!

    Thanks Cammy, much appreciated.

I agree about the printed media. Creating something that one can be proud of in print, is certainly no small task. Some day I hope to have a few things in print I can be proud to call my own.

I think there is a lot to say about service to the local community. Right now, there is more need than at many times before for local service. Peak oil, climate change, economic catastrophes, terrorism and war threaten us more as each day passes.

We as deep explorers hopefully will be able to express a mode of being that allows us to sit with people, help them not panic, and work together towards a less precarious existence.
